Students in our Armorers Classes have been asking for our recommended tools for years, so we set out to make the most complete AR Armorers punch kit we could.
With 10 years of experience in building hard use guns the right way, our punch kit contains all of the key items our staff uses daily to build our rifles in-house, and delivers it all in one easy to use, and clearly labeled kit.
We decided to include the excellent Magpul DAKA pouch, as it’ll survive any of the greases and cleaners likely to be found on your gun bench while you use it.
Our kit is composed of the following individual QPQ treated punches:
- Flat Tip Punches in 1/16”, 1/8” and 5/16”
- Roll Pin Starter Punches in 1/16”, 5/64”, 3/32” (modified for bolt catch installation), 1/8”
- Roll Pin Punches in 1/16”, 5/64”, 3/32”, 1/8”
Additional tools include:
- a Pivot Pin Detent tool,
- A Bolt Catch Removal tool,
- a non-marking delrin utility tool
- (2) S7 tool steel staking punches (one narrow tip, and one wider tip) for ideal staking of steel receiver endplates.
